Your privacy
The short version: your debt numbers never leave your device, there are no accounts, and we don’t store your financial information anywhere.
Where your numbers live
When you add debts, everything is calculated right inside your browser. Your entries are saved only in your device’s local storage, so they’re still there when you come back — and nowhere else.
None of it is sent to us, or to anyone. Clear your browser data and it’s gone, because it only ever lived on your machine.
What we don’t do
We don’t ask you to sign up. We don’t sell debt products or take referral fees. And we never collect or transmit your balances, interest rates, or payments.
About analytics
To understand whether the tool is actually helping people, we may use privacy-respecting analytics that count simple things like page visits. We don’t collect your financial information, and we don’t gather details that could identify you or reveal what you owe.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, we’d genuinely like to know — there’s a contact note in the footer of every page.
How we stay free
One Debt at a Time is free, and it’s supported by advertising. We haven’t switched ads on yet — but when we do, here’s exactly how they’ll work, so there are no surprises.
We deliberately block the ad categories that profit from keeping people in debt: debt-relief, debt-settlement, and debt-consolidation offers, and payday or other short-term lenders. Those are the very products this tool is meant to help you steer clear of, so we won’t run them — even though they tend to pay the most.
The part that matters most: advertising never touches the math. The calculations, the comparisons, and the suggestions you see are based only on your numbers — never on who’s advertising. We don’t sell debt products, and we take no affiliate commissions on them, ever.
And ads don’t change the privacy promise: your numbers still never leave your device.
